Hey everyone! Back for another week on the good ol' DCWV Diary Blog! I hope you love coming by here and getting STACKS of inspiration ;) We sure do love sharing all of our projects!
I love that YOU love our monthly challenge here! We had lots of great entries last month and I know we will have more this month. I really love these two sketches and I know you will!
If you haven't played with us, here is how it works. I have you a page sketch and a card sketch. You use the sketches to make a page or card or BOTH using one of our great DCWV Stacks. It can be any stack, old or new! That's the fun part, seeing everyone break out their trusty stacks to create with. Send me a photo of your project {erinmadsen@diecutsinc.com} or post it on our DCWV Facebook page. The deadline this short month will be 2/26.
Ready to see the sketches??
Here is our fun page sketch! I love the hexagons on here. Yours don't have to be perfect, cut a square then trim off the tops and there you go! Thank you Susan from Sketch Savvy for supplying our sketch!
For both my layout and card, I used the new Peachy Keen Stack which will be out at Jo-Ann this month! Want a sneak peek at a 5 more new stacks including this one? Watch THIS VIDEO!
So here is my layout of me and a very special friend of mine. Remember, you must scrapbook YOU and leave your own story and not everyone elses ;)
This stack is SO PRETTY. I just love the unique color combination. Pretty much obsessed with it...which is why I used it for my card too!
Some members of our Design Team wanted in on the fun too!! This is Karen's take on the sketch using the new White Ginger Stack. Another newbie at Jo-Ann this month. I love how Karen used the hexagon stamp instead of cutting out paper. So clever!
Sara used the Mod-Retro Stack for her awesome page. I love the colors paired with her black and white photo. Her daughter has got to have the cutest little face ever! I think she needs to come visit me :)
And Britt used the Sweet Blossoms Stack for her layout. So pretty and perfect for spring! I love seeing all of the different looks that one sketch can give.
And here is your card sketch from Page Maps! I love how simple this is and how you can use scraps or your matstack or 6x6 stacks.
Here is my card using the Peachy Keen Stack again. Couldn't let those scraps go to waste!
Tessa made her beautiful card using the Dear Jane Stack. Love how she mixed the ribbon strip in.
Jan used the new Kidosaurus Stack for her card. I love all of these examples, thanks ladies!!
So are you ready to play? Seeing all of this inspiration has got to get you excited to have a try at these sketches. I can't wait to see your submissions!!!
Have a wonderful day!
