Hello 2013! Can you believe it's here? I hope all of you had a wonderful and safe New Years. There is something about the fresh start of January. I am ready for a new year with new adventures! First up-a couple trips as I represent DCWV! Gotta love that!
Before I hit the road, I want to post our January Stack-a-holic Template Challenge so you can get going on your entries! We took December off so hopefully we have lots who are ready to get crafting and play with us!
If you haven't played yet, here's the deal. Our January 30 deadline is 1-30-13 at Midnight Central Time. To enter, make a project using the sketches (you are welcome to participate in both layout & card challenges) just make sure you are using a DCWV Stack! Take a photo and either email it to me at erinmadsen@diecutsinc.com or post it on our DCWV Facebook Page. You are welcome to post the photos to your blog and just give me the link.
Now for the fun part...the templates and projects!
Both of our projects use the Arctic Wishes Stack which is out at Jo-Ann Stores. It is perfect to play with in January or to use to scrap those snow or winter photos. HERE is a link to buy it on joann.com.
And here is our page sketch. Thank you to Liz Chidester aka The Scrappiest, for providing our sketch!
Sometimes you make a page just for a story. That's the story with this page! The picture is not the best since it was taken by the school janitor's cell phone. But the story is priceless and it just had to be scrapped!
Yes. We watched "A Christmas Story" one night. And the next morning I got a call from my son's teacher saying his tongue was stuck to the flagpole! I was shocked! No way would my boy really try this!!! I hurried over and gave him some pain reliever. He was shaken up a bit but ok! Hilarious, right?!
This stack and template were the perfect pair to tell this story!!
And here is the card sketch. Thank you, Got Sketch?, for this template!
DT Member Karen Hanson made this darling card with the template and the Arctic Wishes Stack. This would make such a cute thank you card for holiday gifts! Yes, that is on my things to do list :)
So here are your templates to play with! Can't wait to see what you do with them! Remember-January 30th is your deadline.
Have a wonderful, winter day!
