Bewitched Madness

It's Wednesday! Thanks for stopping by the blog today! I hope everyone is doing well and enjoying the changing of seasons.'s coming here in Utah. I have actually had to break out my hoodie a couple nights ago! That taste of fall and the promise that it's coming! I love it :)

Halloween will be here before we know it! It has a way of sneaking up on me. I wanted to share a few darling Halloween projects from our Design Team using the Bewitched Stack from Jo-Ann Stores!

This first one is just TOO CUTE! Karen Hanson seriously blew me away. These little witch legs are so cute and guess what they are made out of? Pool Noodles!

The matching ribbon and tag just completes this project. To get more details on how she made it, visit her blogpost HERE.

Karen also made this adorable card with treats in it! I love how the "Boo" words are filled with treats. And the Reeces Pieces are the perfect colors to match her card :)

See Karen's blog post HERE to see how she created it!

Have any of you made a Halloween Tree like Sara? I think I may need to copy this idea! I love all of the little ornaments that were made with the Bewitched Embellishment/Sticker Pack. So easy and so cute!! Sara's blog post featuring this project can be found HERE.

I hope you love these projects as much as I do! Can't wait to bust out all of my Halloween decorations and get my house all ready!! Do you think that would speed up FALL??!

Have a wonderful day!

Family Painters Tray

Hello everyone! Did you have a good weekend? Mine was bittersweet. I am off to a funeral today. More on that at the end of my post. It was a weekend of family and reflecting for me. Which is always nice to have time to regroup and refocus.

I first want to pick a couple of winners from last week's blog comments. Remember to keep the comments coming, you never know when you will be picked to receive free stacks! Winners: email me your addresses right away! {}

Congratulations to:

Great projects Sara, congrats on the DT post. I love the layout with the Safari Kids paper. I think I'm going to have to see if I can still buy it!
Thanks, hugs, Jess

It's so nice to have pictures of the first day of school. I wish I had some when I was in school. Have a great year kids!

I am excited to show you today's project. This weekend I crafted {for me}, not for work. But I still wanted to show you ;) I needed time to sit and look at my family's cute pictures. And this has turned out to be a special project for me!

I picked up a 7 Gypsy Painter Tray at my local crafting store and it seriously sat in my office for A YEAR! I knew I wanted to make something special with it for my bedroom, but I just didn't have the time and to tell you the truth, the tray kind of scared me a little bit! It was something different and new for me and I wasn't even sure where to start with it.

I did something that I rarely do! I used 3 different stacks on this project. Yes, I know, I know. You guys probably mix up your stacks all the time. But I don't know why, I always just use one stack on a project since the papers inside all seem to coordinate. I wanted this tray to match my bedroom perfectly so I used prints from Coral Couture (turquoise prints), Sweet Blossom (coral prints) and Forever & Always (grey chevron).

All of the bits and pieces of embellishments were all little things in my drawers. You know the things you buy but you aren't really sure what to do with them ;) They ended up working perfect on this project.

I added two vellum quotes from some of our DCWV Quote Stacks that have been around FOREVER! They really just make the tray perfect. My new favorite quote, "There is no remedy for love but to love more."

This was the perfect project for me to work on this weekend. My husband had a tragic death in his family, his cousin passed away only 1 mile from our home in a horrible construction accident. He left behind 4 gorgeous daughters.  Most all of my husbands family still lives here and is very close. It has been tragic and heartbreaking, but we have already seen his death bring together an already close family. Family is the most important thing on this earth! I have hugged my kids tighter and have been kinder to my husband. A long life is not a guarentee. We must treasure each day!

I will remember this as I look at these sweet pictures on my bedside table.

Have a wonderful day :)

DT Spotlight: Sara Andrews

Happy Friday! This week really flew by for me! It's amazing how much more productive I am with my kids in school :) Imagine that!! The kids are loving their new teachers and classrooms so I must say, it's been a successful week!

I have been excited for today's post! As you know, this summer we announced our first Design Team Call. And at CHA in July we announced our first ever Stack-a-holic Design Team. It was a company wide vote for the members and I have to say, we ended up with a diverse, humble and adorable group of 12 ladies! They received this invitation in the mail...

and luckily they all accepted! I am going to feature one of our 12 members every month so by the end of the year, you have gotten to know each of the girls! So starting with August, we have Sara!

Here is a short bio from Sara to get to know her a little better!

"I am a working mother of thirteen year old twins and a two year old and a coach's wife, so I stay fairly busy chasing all of them around.  However, within the last year and a half I rediscovered my love of paper crafting and wonder daily why I wasted all that free time I had before the littlest came along.  During this time I also discovered DCWV.   In fact, I would only admit under duress how many stacks I actually own.  I have fallen in love with the wonderful prints, patterns and themes and found the weight of the paper works so well with both my Cricuts and Silhouette."

You can find Sara's blog here: She has a great eye for color...I absolutely love all of her work!

Check out a few of her fun projects!

An adorable card using "Mod Retro Stack"

Gorgeous wreath with "Blossom Song Stack"

A fun box using the "Snapshot Stack"

I love this layout with "Safari Kids" Stack. How cute is her little girl with her zebra shirt on?!

I will feature another one of our awesome DT members next month. They really are a dream team!

Have a wonderful weekend! See you back here on Monday!

2012 School Days

Backpacks packed...

New outfits laid out...

Teacher gifts crafted :)

It must be the First Day of School!

These two little guys were SO excited to get up and go to school....and the main reason why?

They have the BEST teachers ever! I'm so lucky to already be friends with both of their teachers already. I can't be sad about sending them off when I know they are in such good  hands :) 2nd Grade & Kindergarten...WATCH OUT! The Madsen Boys have arrived :)

Check out these DARLING Back to School Banners that Sarah Hamer aka Pink Cricut created for her little ones with the Grade School Stack! I love how we both have the same aged kids!! The big "2" and "K" ;)

Such a cute idea!! Especially once the pictures are scrapbooked!

I hope you all have a wonderful day!! I know I am enjoying my peace and quiet...until the school bus heads this way! ;)
