Hello Monday & hello to my friends! I hope you had a fabulous summer weekend! I had a weekend that was pretty much spent outside...in the Utah heat. LOTS of baseball and softball....I will tell you more about it later in today's post :) But I hope you are all refreshed and ready for another week! CHA is getting close...anyone want to guess what the theme of our booth is?? Leave me a comment!!

And I also want to thank EVERYONE who applied for our first every DCWV Design Team! I was blown away with how many applications we received, over 150! I wish I could hug each of you because I know the work and effort it took to apply. Please know I am so proud of all of you!! I am so glad I have a whole team of people at DCWV to help me choose the top 12 to be on our team. It will not be an easy process. Watch for our big announcement of the team at CHA on July 16th!
Another month and another Stack-a-holic Template Challenge is here! I don't know about you but I never get sick of these challenges! I love searching for new sketches, making my own projects and of course seeing yours!!! If you have never played with us before, here is how it works! Create a layout based on the given template using one of our many stacks! Submit your page by July 29th by either emailing it to me {erinmadsen@diecutsinc.com}, posting a photo of it on our DCWV Facebook Page or by posting it on your blog and sending me a link.

This month I used the brand new "A Type of Art Stack" which is out at Jo-Ann Stores right now! I LOVE THIS STACK! I want to shout it from the roof tops lol!! Here is July's page sketch!

I used some awesome #Number pages in the stack to document my son's basbell team winning FIRST place this season! He played in a tournament all weekend and WON the entire thing :) So proud of my little guy!!! I love all of the 1's on the page. And the great colors look perfect with the black and white photos!

And now for the card sketch...I used the new Gilded Orchard Stack which is also at Jo-Ann Stores. Soo beautiful! You will see on my card! Here is July's card sketch....

Wow, those colors just pop! I love the combination of the green, purple and teal. Oh and of course the gold accents!
Love the little hello stamp from Unity Stamp Company!
To make the slanted paper on the left side of the card, I cut 1 inch strips and glued them down on a piece of cardstock that was bigger than the area I wanted to cover on the card. Then I glued it on the card at an angle and trimmed the edges. Here are a few little shots I took with my phone while I crafted...I wanted to challenge you a bit but not leave you out in the dark!!

I just got the last starry mat stack (can't remember the name)and one of the gilded orchard mat stacks today! Thanks so much for letting us know. I was on vacation last week, and almost missed getting them. They are both awesome!
