Happy Valentines Day!!
Some people aren't into the whole Valentines Day thing...and I have to say, having kids got me more into it. But I love this day where we get to show and tell people how much we love them! We don't do major gifts in our home. I cook a special dinner and we have a few treats. But we always make cards for each other. I love that!
On Facebook I asked you to post your Valentines made with our stacks. We had TONS of people post their cards and it is so fun going through them. Here are a couple that caught my eye...

Angie Mays

There were lots more, you guys are awesome! I picked one random winner from the FB photos and the emails I received and Congratulations to:
Crystal Rood
Email me {erinmadsen@diecutsinc.com} and I will mail you a couple stacks!
I also wanted to show you what my little guys gave their friends in the neighborhood. They take valentines to school for friends in their class but in a neighborhood like ours, there are still lots of friends we want to tell "LOVE YOU" to :) I used the La Bella Rouge Stack which is at Michaels right now. Such a fun stack with awesome colors!
I made a popcorn candy mix and filled them in bags. Then just made a simple bag topper to make it cute. My toppers were 6 inches wide x 8 inches tall and they are folded in half.
Love the pink leopard paper! Valentines Day is pretty much the only time I am allowed to attach my boys pictures to pink leopard paper ;)
I used up all kinds of ribbon scraps on these. I keep all of my May Arts scraps in a bag and try to use those first. They are too pretty to be thrown away!
For the popcorn recipe, I didn't measure anything so here it goes!
20 c. air popped popcorn
1/2 bag pretzel sticks
1 package of Vanilla Almond Bark
2 bags Valentine M&M's
Valentine sprinkles
{melt the almond bark in the microwave until it's very runny. Mix the popcorn with the pretzels. Pour almond bark over popcorn. Stir until evenly coated. Line counter with parchment paper. Spread popcorn mixture onto counter and spread out. Dump valentine sprinkles all over. Dump 2 bags of valentine sprinkles all over. I used one peanut & one plain. Let it cool completely. M&M's and sprinkles will stick to popcorn when cooled. Break apart & enjoy!

ReplyDeleteSounds and looks yummy! Too much sugar for my diabetic self. But the popcorn and pretzels are two of my fave snacks. We don't celebrate Valentines day. But on the 13th my boyfriend came in with one of those huge packages of Reeses cups. The one with the two HUGE cups in it. It was on sale (we're big on sales) for $5! I'm still cutting off pieces. I love the cards you chose. Especially the Hot Stuff one! Love the boxers. Thanks for sharing your Vday traditions.
