That makes me so happy cause I love seeing your talents! This sketch was so fun to play with for me and obviously y'all loved it too since the results were outstanding :) Thank  you, Susan at Sketch Savvy, for providing awesome sketches! Christmas Accent Trims

Happy Tuesday! So excited to show you these projects today! I seriously think the fall & Christmas holidays are the best times to be a crafter! So many fun ideas for home decor and especially gifts. I think you will get lots and lots of ideas here at the blog in the next couple months!

Today's projects are super, super easy because of one thing...the new Christmas Accent Trims! They are so easy to work with! I love the texture of them, how they are self adhesive and the patterns are adorable.  These really are perfect for altering items because the adhesive is workable...basically the first time you lay it down you can lift it up and move it around. When you are ready for a permanent hold, just firmly run your fingers over it to really get it to stick and it's not going anywhere :)

Aren't these patterns so cute!? Each roll is about 20 yards and they are available at
Michaels Stores right now.

This is a $2 frame from M's and I simply wrapped the trim around the frame. Super easy and quick! Finished off with a bow.

This is an empty Pringles can emptied out and wrapped with the trim. You can fill it with cookies or other holiday treats. Wrap with a pretty bow.

I love how easy these projects are because you don't have to worry or mess with any adhesive! Gotta love that!! Hopefully these projects sparked a little creativity inside of you!

Well have a great day! Today is BUSY for me! Wish me luck...but this busy girl wouldn't have it any other way ;) See you very soon!

3D Paper Chandelier

Another Fall Friday! Could things get any better? I hope everyone has had a great week!! This weekend, I am going to bite the bullet and decorate my whole house for Halloween!! So I will have some pictures next week of my chalkboard wall that ya'll have been asking about :) I love this time of year!!

So I realized that I have never given you a template or tutorial for one of our most talked about projects at CHA in January! The 3D Chandelier! I think it would be SO fun to make one of these for Halloween, Thanksgiving or Christmas to hang in the entry of your house or above the table! Don't you think??

Dots, Stripes & Plaids / Immortal Love Stacks

Here are the instructions and THIS is where you can download the template. It is a little more intense of a project but as you can see, the results are incredible! Let me know if you tackle it! I want to see pictures!

DCWV: Immortal Love Stack or The Dots, Plaids and Stripes 12x12 Premium Stack
DCWV Chandelier template
24”x36” Black foam board with black foam core
Ribbon or rope to hang chandelier in desired length (at least 24” long)
1”x12” piece of pipe
Drill (needed to put hole through pipe)
Bolt and nut set
Assorted beads
Assorted fibers
Papercrafting adhesive
Craft knife
Glue Gun

  1. Cut out template.  Adhere 6 different prints to foam board and turn over.  Trace template pattern onto back of foam board 6 different times, making sure that each print is used only once, and cut out.
  2. Before adhering foam core pieces to the pipe, drill a small hole in the center of the pipe through one side, and directly across to the other.  Insert a bolt through the 2 holes, and secure it in place with a nut.
  3. Adhere foam board shapes directly to the piece of pipe with hot glue.
  4. Embellish chandelier by adding ribbons, fibers, beads and bows.

Well have a great weekend!! Get those September Stack-a-holic Template Challenge pages into me by Thursday!! I am loving what I am already seeing!!!

Ghosts & Goblins With Hat Centerpiece

Hey everyone!

Back for another project!? I have been so excited to show you this one!!! Cause I KNOW how much y'all LOVE Halloween projects :)

I used the Ghosts & Goblins line that is available at Jo-Ann's right now! Such a great Halloween stack...pretty much love every print in this stack and LOVE the classic colors :)

I started with a Styrofoam cone from the craft store. They have all different sizes so you could really make your hat any size.

I covered the cone with two pieces of 12x12 paper and positioned the top piece so it hung over the top a little bit. That's what I squeezed together and glued down to make the hanging part of the top of the hat. Then I wrapped another print around the front. I hand cut the brim of the hat and glued two pieces back to back so there is another print on the bottom of the hat.

Then I just embellished the hat with some more paper, tulle and sticker from the matching sticker pack. I think this will look darling in the middle of my kitchen table :)

So easy and after you have the Styrofoam cone, you probably have everything else you need! Love it when there are projects like that :)

So glad you stopped by! I will be back with one more project before the weekend!!

Spiral Square Ornament Tutorial

Good morning!! I hope everyone had a great weekend! Ours was busy, busy...went by way to fast but that's usually how it goes :) Excited for this week and getting LOTS accomplished!

I am hearing on Facebook that some are finding some crazy good deals on some of our stacks at Marshalls Stores. So I wanted to give you a heads up! I don't know exactly which stacks or the prices, but they are probably stacks that have been out a little while. Anyway, if you have a local store stop by and see if your store has any :)

I have to tell you...the ornament tutorial that I have for you today was probably my FAVORITE one when I first looked at the upside down tree!! And it's such an easy concept! I am for sure making some of these for my tree. I love backing the paper to the vinyl to get a double sided look!

Here is the tutorial for the Spiral Square Ornament!

I loved reading your comments from Monday's post. It really is amazing how everyone has their own story from 9/11/01. Thank you for taking the time to share your story with me! I picked a random winner for the box of goodies from our booth at the Scrapbook USA Expo and the winner is:

Beth said...
I was at my children's elementary school. I volunteered every Tuesday...I will never forget. The principal and other staff had to determine how much information to disclose to each age group. I was riveted to the television for the rest of the day...trying to digest what was happening. Still hard to take it all in.

Congratulations, Beth! Email me your address at and I will get your box right out to you!

Look what I have been doing...starting to do a little Halloween decorating!!

This little baby available at Michaels is so easy and SO cute to put together!! It has everything that you need to make a darling bat garland! Of you can do what I did and add a few little things to jazz it up :)

I added a big bow on the ends of the garland and some Blue Moon beads in between each bat. I love how it turned out!

My bats are looking a bit lonely up on the mantel so I may have to drag all of my Halloween decorations out tonight!! Love this time of year :)

Have a great day!! I'll be back here soon!

September Stack-a-holic Challenge!

Hey friends!

I know I am a little behind this month but better late than never right?! Can't wait to PLAY this month with our
Stack-a-holic Template Challenge!

I will give you the make the page. Share it on our Facebook page, share it on your blog and send a link or email it to me at You have until September 29th to submit your page. I will pick my "Top 10" submissions to share on the blog and I will  pick a random winner from those 10 for an awesome prize of three of our newest stacks! Wanna play??!

Here is your template from Susan at Sketch Savvy!

This month I played with one of our new Recollections Stacks at Michaels! Have you seen them in your stores yet? They should be there!! LOVE this new Simply Autumn Stack!

I wanted to do a page showing off a photo of the first day of school for my little guy! The sketch called for a 4x6 photo but since there was only one photo, I wanted to do a bigger one so I did a 5x7 photo. I think it fit the page well.

This is a GREAT layout to use your matstacks because of the smaller size! Or some stack scraps would work great too :)

In the Simply Autumn Stack, there are some great pages in the stack that have scaled down 6x6 pieces all on one 12x12 page. This is the page I used for my layout. So I got all of my little 1 inch by 2 inch rectangles from this one page! Pretty cool, right?!

I love this sketch and how the page turned out! It may be one of my favorites so far :)

Remember, you have until September 29th to get me your finished pages!

Check out Sketch Savvy for even more sketches!
I'll be back SOON with a darling Halloween project!! Love this time of year :)

Star Pillow Box Ornament

Hey guys! Back for another week?!

Yesterday was really special. I loved reading all of the tributes to 9-11. I remember being a sophomore in college at BYU and one of my roommates was from Washington DC and her mom worked at the Pentagon. We woke up to a phone call from her dad screaming to turn on the TV and to stay calm. Ahhh...not really possible! I remember the day like it was yesterday. It's incredible how those feelings come back so strongly when you hit an anniversary like this. I am proud to be an American and hope these feelings of unity and tolerance stay with us forever and not just for moments like these!

"Heroes can give their lives all at one time or they can give a little each day."
