Why hello there my friends! Back for another Friday, I see...they just seem to fly by! I hope everyone had a great week. Today I turn the big 3-0! On 11-11-11. It's for sure going to be my lucky, lucky year I think :) Going to have a great weekend of celebrating, I can't wait!! I haven't had any major depression on turning 30...I pretty much think I have quite the life to show for 30 years and I feel extremely grateful! I am expecting 40 & 50 to be much harder birthdays to handle ;-) Or am I wrong?
I had a lot of fun creating this project! I used the new Harvest Gathering Stacks that are out right now. I used the Matstacks which were so handy.
I think these colors and designs are just beautiful! The gorgeous teal make me so happy :)
So here is my little guy! I made mine a place card holder for Thanksgiving Dinner. But he could easily just be a little decoration...all you would do would be change out the words on the sign. It is an empty toilet paper roll covered in paper. And the feathers are my little boy's hand prints traced and cut out onto the printed paper. It took 3 hand prints to get this look.
I am planning on making these with the kids on Thanksgiving Day and we will use them for place cards! Now just to remember to hold on to those empty rolls :)
Ok, I am all caught up on work so I am going to take the rest of the day off and start my celebrating right now!! Hello 30, can't wait to see what you have in store for me :)

Have a delightful day! Oh, those next milestones aren't as rough as they sound. I reached the big 7-0 this year and enjoy life to the fullest!
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday Erin! Enjoy your celebration today! Thank you for all of the wonderful blog posts.
ReplyDeleteHappy happy birthday! Have a wonderful time celebrating. I didn't have any trouble turning 40. If you're loving your life and feel blessed then it doesn't matter what the number is. -- Your Turkey place card holder is so cute. Wish I had saved my toilet paper rolls. : )
ReplyDeleteLove the cute little turkey - now go and enjoy your little turkeys!! Have a great weekend!

ReplyDeleteOh so cute! I think I'll have my 3rd graders make these.
ReplyDeleteCute turkeys! Love those Mat Stacks. Happy Birthday. Happy Birthday.
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday!!!! If you think 30 is fun...40 was better and 50 was my best B-day of all. At least so far! Like all things, they get better with age!!!
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday Erin........
ReplyDeleteMy birthday is the day before yours on the 10th of November and I turned 60.
Now when I was little I remember my Mom turning 30 and I thought she was OLD!!!!
But as I got older I found out, at 30 you are still very young. My 2 boys are now ages 40 and 36,still young.
I am the first person in my immediate family to turn 60. So for me that is a big thing.
It didn't hurt one bit to turn 60. :)
Happy Birthday Erin!
ReplyDeleteThe little turkey is adorable, so cute :)
Happy Birthday!!!! Hope you enjoyed! I have a few more months before I reach the big 3-0, but I'm not really worried about it either. I remember as a kid when my parents and an aunt turned 30... I used to think wow, that's old. But now they are in their mid-50's, and I don't even think that's really old anymore either. It's all about perspective. ENJOY!!
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday! As one who turned the double nickel this year...you are just beginning....the best is yet to come :)

Erin, Hope you have the best birthday ever! 30 was a great year for me. Your place card holder is adorable!
ReplyDeleteI wasn't going to buy any new stacks this season since I have so much Christmas paper already. Well, that did not last -- I was in Joann's and Michaels last night and bought one large stack and two mat stacks! I admit it, I am a stackaholic! Can't resist DCWV stacks no matter how hard I try! Enjoy your weekend of celebrations.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! 30 is awesome and most of the 30s are great because you have fun with the kids. 40 wasn't a bad birthday at all but the kids are a pain about that time so life isn't as fun. Still not sure about 50. I think it should be good because kid worries are out of our hands. More me time :)
ReplyDeleteLOVE the turkey and his sign is the BEST! lol
Happy belated birthday Erin! Hope you had a fabulous day yesterday :) As far as birthdays go, I dread them.. but at 46 I feel younger all the time - I think it might be my teenagers and their friends - they keep me young :) Love this turkey - so adorable!
ReplyDeleteI hope you had an awesome birthday! May all your wishes come true!

ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday Erin! As for turning 40..I will be turning 40 in just a week! I am excited about it! I am so much more content and happy with myself then I was in my 20's and early 30's. It's funny the age that I most dreaded was 29! I felt like I was getting too old! LOL
ReplyDeleteHope your Birthday was awesome! Love the cute Turkey place cards, think I will make a couple for decorations. TFS
