Happy New Years Eve!!

Happy New Years Eve!! Can you believe the decade has come to an end?? I have a feeling that 2011 will serve me well so I am just {excited}!!!

Wanted to share the "thank you" gift that I am taking to a party that I am attending tonight. So quick. So easy. I promise you can do it in 20 minutes!! I used some perfect papers from the new Celebrations Stack. 

The paper is 4 inches x 9.5 inches and scored at 8 inch mark. Punched a circle punch to fit in on the top. Decorated the front with glitter paper and brads. The framed die cut is one of Tim Holtz Sizzix dies. My party hosts are not drinkers so I used Sparkling Cider but you could easily do the same with some bubbly :)

I hope everyone has a safe and happy New Year!!! I can't wait to see what 2011 brings to all of us!!

Hello Thursday! You are back so soon!!

Don't you just love holidays? This week has been quiet at home. Time for me to work. Watch the massive amounts of snow coming down in Utah. Listening to my boys movies in the background. Making hot chocolate for cold little hands after playing outside. Lots of Jammie Days :)

But I love this time at home when it's quiet and I can work in peace. The next 27 days is {CRUNCH TIME} until I leave for CHA in Los Angeles! Our booth is going to be SO NEW AND DIFFERENT it will for sure be the talk of the show! I can't wait to make a video showing you everything once I am there!! So here is a new page I made with the new Vintage Collage Stack...remember this new one has new prints and new colors :)

These pages are awesome because all of the design work has been done for you. You can simply add a photo and a little journaling and have a fabulous page. Can you pick me out in this picture??

Yes that is me sitting on my Daddy's lap in front of the home I grew up in. {Dallas, Texas}

All I added was the photo and the "love" tab and brads. Everything else is part of the page!

This stack is so fun for those vintage photos that you have! And my photo above is about 27 years old and that is about vintage as I have in my possession :)

Lovin' Immortal Love!

Wow! What a whirlwind of a weekend!! I took yesterday off so today is my "Christmas Aftermath" day :) Things are clean and picked up, it's just the sugar coma and food overload I am fighting!! But that is just one of the things I love about Christmas :) 

Something fun to announce! I know you have been waiting forever to get your hands on the Immortal Love and Dots, Stripes and Plaids Stacks that I showed you HERE. Well I am excited to tell you that your Jo-Anns stores all have them and will be putting them out on shelves any second! I am starting to hear of some sightings but I know every store does things their own way. But I am pretty confident that all of the stores should have them on the shelves within the week. They are just making room and clearing out the Christmas Stacks!! 

I wanted to share a page that I made using Immortal Love. And guess what, there is no vampire or werewolves anywhere on the page!! :)

This is my best friend, Aubrey and her new fiance, Matt!! I have waited a loooong time for her to find a man good enough for her and I think she has found him :)

And his family business is a Harley Davidson Shop.....ahhh that is just smokin' hot :)

Love all of the gorgeous red prints that I punched out with a heart punch and inked the edges. I hand cut the big white heart outline. 

I {love} this page!!! Love the paper, love the colors, love this girl!!

Letters to Santa...

Tonight is the night.

We will see if our letters to Santa made it to the North Pole. We put them in the big red mailbox with "Santa" on it at the local post office. Garrett, the Postmaster, promised he would make sure they arrived in time.

This is a very serious tradition at our house. Gotta make sure the letter is just right.

This year, we wrote our letters on a cute paper from the 180 sheet Christmas Stack from Jo-Anns. The lined paper with "Dear Santa," at the top was just what we needed.

Oh can my boys stay 3 & 6 forever?? They really are the perfect little ages and the perfect best friends. I have so much to be thankful for right now!!!

I want to wish you, along with the entire DCWV family, a very Happy Holiday and Happy New Year!!!   Take the time these next couple of weeks to make incredible memories & take lots of pictures so you will have plenty to scrap in the New Year! :)

Cute Neighbor Gifts

My neighborhood is like a little family. We all go to school and church together. We help raise each other kids as we trade babysitting and play dates. We go on group adult dates monthly and girls nights much more frequently :) I am so lucky to live in a neighborhood like this. It really is one of my biggest blessings!! Since I have about 30 neighbor gifts to deliver (I tried to cut my list down but didn't have the heart!!) I needed something easy and inexpensive. And I never do treats since we always end up with SO much treats I want to die!!!

So this year, I purchased a bunch of our Le Creme Box of Cards. They are $10 retail and I got 4 gifts out of each box. I broke them down to 10 cards and envelopes and put them in a cellophane bag.

Tied some fabulous May Arts ribbon and a tag. I got the little glitter ornaments at Target a pack of 30 at the dollar spot!! 

I designed the tags in Photoshop Elements and printed them at Walmart at Persnickety Prints, my all time FAVORITE printing service.

These would also be great thank you gifts for co-workers, teachers, birthday gifts for friends, really anyone!! I love the Le Creme cards because the prints are so versatile.

Two days til Christmas....are you ready?? If you aren't, just pretend and sit back and relax :)

The holiday ones are fun because you can put them up for the holiday and take the down after and re use them the next year. DCWV knows how to party!!

Oh what a fun weekend!! It was kicked off with a bang at our DCWV Holiday Party!! It was held in a hotel ballroom with a yummy, yummy dinner. They made us earn our prizes this year with "Minute to Win It" themed games! A presentation of service awards. And always lots of gracious words from our owners. We are so lucky to work for this company!!! Here are some of my favorite moments....

Sizzix Triple Play Blog Hop Week 7: Christmas Combo Bag Topper

So it's only Thursday. Darn. 

I am SO ready for tomorrow!! It is our DCWV Holiday Party!!! Gourmet dinner, dancing, lots of chatting and TONS of prizes!!! There will be 120 DCWV employees with their guest... fingers crossed hoping to go home with something fabulous prize!! (And yes, my fingers and toes will be crossed :) It is so great working for a company who values every single one of it's employees. DCWV is that company and so much more!!! I will sneak in my camera (of course!) to take some pictures to share on Monday!

I am so sad that this is the last Sizzix Blog Hop Post! It has been so fun seeing all of the different ways that these dies are used, and I loved using the dies with all of my DCWV papers!!  Today's project is a way to wrap up some small gifts. Let's face it. If you haven't done any wrapping yet, you should probably take the "easy route", right?? :) The topper was cut from the Sizzix die and I glued paper together to make a little pocket/bag. You could do this topper with a cellophane bag as well.

Loved the video! I also LOVE the Formal Affairs stack! It will be perfect for my wedding (and all the wedding I have been too!). I also love the world travelers stack. Perfect for Europe (and I agree, it would be great for military too, my husband has been to A TON of places, and they pages look great for his military travels as well!)

A New Guy in the House

One of my favorite things about Christmas is my Gingerbread Tree!! It makes me sooo happy :)

 I have quite the collection of little guys from all over the place. I only buy one of each man so I have a great assortment!! It is so fun looking for them whenever I see tree decorations. Here are a few of my favorites...

I made a new little guy for my tree this year! 

 I found this cookie cutter at the grocery store for $1. I cut strips of paper from the Christmas Mat stack and stuck it to the back of a scrap of adhesive cardstock. I traced the cookie cutter, cut it out and clued it to the back of the cutter.

Punched a hole in the top with my Crop-a-dile and strung some ribbon. All ready for my tree!!

I love handmade ornaments and I love how easy this guy was!! You could use any colors of paper or any shape of ornament. A great kids project too!!!!

Welcome to another Monday morning!!!

I hope everyone had a fabulous weekend!! Mine could not have been more perfect. A big family wedding which means lots of visiting, eating, hanging out and celebrating!!! I managed to squeeze in a little time in the office, a pedicure and a trip to Hobby Lobby so I think it was a pretty successful weekend :)

My favorite holiday tradition is spending Christmas Eve with my husband... after church, we put on new holiday pjs, bake pizzas, take a picture in front of the tree, watch a holiday movie, and then exchange gifts before going to bed.
