I am a turkey and ketchup eater because I don't care for turkey. So my favorite thing, which I have altered since moving away from home is the Green Bean Casserole. I do not like mushrooms so I make it with Cream of Chicken soup instead of Cream of Mushroom. It is delicious!! But I also LOVE mashed potatoes! Yum!

ReplyDeletefavorite thing to eat on Thanksgiving? my stir-fried asparagus with pepper bacon and caramelized onions...I used to hate asparagus because my mom would serve the mushy canned kind then a friend made me stir-fried asparagus and when I tasted the delicious crunchy greeness I was hooked. I make them at other times of the year too, but Thanksgiving they get special treatment with locally smoked pepper bacon freshly sliced by the town butcher and sweet caramelized onion. I have to make at least two pounds because they are a family favorite and my 19 yo will stand around picking at them while they are still cooking.
