Mariposa Hybrid Frame

Wow, the days went from Monday to Friday in lightning speed this week! It seems like some weeks I have something every single day, while other weeks there is only 1 think on the calendar for the whole. week. This week was crazy! But next week will calm down until Thursday when I leave for Anaheim, California to attend the PMA Show. There we will be showing off our new 300dpi.com site to all of the photo junkies! So fun!

I wanted to share with you a fun hybrid project that I made using the Mariposa Line & the matching Mariposa Digital Kit. I think this would be fun wedding or anniversary gift for someone, I would love receiving it! :) In Photoshop, I made a 8 1/2 x 11 document and made a simple design with the kit and a digital frame. I printed it on my home printer and put it in a simple black frame. Then I used the Mariposa Chipboard Box to add some matching chipboard embellishments and glued them to the glass. Tied some ribbon around the glass and added a few more matching tags from the box and that was it! It seriously was a very easy & quick project and the photo doesn't do it justice, it is stunning!

So what does everyone have on their schedule for Valentines Day? There are several "chick flicks" that I want to see so hopefully my man and I can catch one over the weekend. We are pretty low-key Valentines people but he almost always finds some way or present to spoil me rotten. I have such a cute hubby! Tell me what your plans are this weekend by leaving a comment and on Tuesday I will pick a winner for a free 12x12 Madly in Love Stack which will be perfect for scrapping your Valentine photos!! Have a fabulous weekend!!

  1. What a great project. No plans for me for V-day, my husband and I usually don't celebrate, I'm not much for the day.

  2. I absolutely LOVE the madly in love stack and abotu 95% of my paper in my craft room is DCWV!!! (and I have a LOT of paper ;) ) Anyway, I don't have any big plans this V day. My hubby and I will most likely snuggle up and watch movies after a nice homemade dinner.

  3. This stack is so cool! I love it because it's so different from the typical red/pink flowery stuff for Valentine's Day.

We don't have BIG plans for Valentine's Day. We typically stay home and have a family celebration. This year the hubby and I are sharing a lobster fondue and a bottle of wine. The kids will be with us sharing fish sticks and a bottle of Ginger Ale. We even have special glasses to use for a special toast.

  4. This weekend I am taking my baby sister shopping for stuff when she moves away to college this fall. Eek scary!
As for Valentines day, I am planning a scavenger hunt for my hubby, then making hi lobster and steak, which is a pretty big deal to him because I don't eat seafood.

  9. Our Valentines Day will be pretty simple this year. Two of our married children are having finincial problems and cannot afford to do anything, so I invited them to dinner with a chocolate bar invitation. It turned out so cute and they as well as my grandson loved eating the chocolate. Happy Valentines Day all!!

  32. My valentine's day plans were basically put on hold this year. =( My MIL passed away and the memorial service was on Saturday the 13th. We had a ton of guests visiting from other states, so we just decided we would celebrate V-Day on another date when we felt like we had more to celebrate. God is great...so hopefully that will be someday soon.

  33. We didn't have electricity three days prior to Valentine's Day because of the Texas snow storm. SO, on Valentine's Day we celebrated the entire day, about love-warmth-family, & esp. finding each other late in life.

I dream about DCWV Stacks! Love, love, love this one! thank you xo

  35. It was a Valentines for our entire family. First, took our younger daughter (6) with me to the food store, where we had fun hunting down bargains. Then, relaxed a little bit until 2pm, when we all went to our favorite restaurant for an early dinner. YUM! Back home, where our 6yo had to get ready for her cheer practice. I took her while DH hung out with the other two kiddos watching The Incredibles. When she and I got home, we joined them in watching Lilo & Stich - and getting a kick out of our 2yo son acting just like Stitch! After the kidlets went to bed, hubby & I relaxed and watched an oldie but goodie - When Harry Met Sally. Just a nice family day. :)
